CENTERING PRAYER RETREAT Staying Centered in Silence: Wisdom for Navigating Emotional Turbulence And Cultural Chaos September 3,4 and 5 2025 Who is Peter T. Haas? Rev., Dr. Peter Traben Haas rises each morning watching the light shade from dark to dawn. The still silence births words. His aim as a pastor and writer is to deepen spiritual fecundity by exploring biblical wisdom, verse by verse. He is an ordained Teaching Pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA), currently serving as Interim Senior Pastor/Head of Staff at Madison Square Presbyterian Church in San Antonio. Peter earned a B.A. from Moody Bible, an M.Div. from Princeton Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministry from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Peter is the author of multiple books and is widely known for his series of profound daily prayers in Paraclete Press' book series Centering Prayers. What is Peter’s plan for the retreat? He plans five meditations which are as follows: Silence and the Supplication of Our Tears, Silence as Strength for Non-Reactivity, Silence as Source for Speaking out Wisely, Silence as a Sacrament of Shared Sacrifice, and Silence as a Space for Seeing & Dreaming. There will be a 20 minute Centering Prayer session after each meditation and personal free time in between each The all-inclusive cost for two nights and meals is $260/person for a double room and $395/person for a single room. Double rooms will not be assigned but will be available only at the request of the two guests rooming with each other. Commuter cost: $150 A deposit of $50 will reserve your place until 30 days prior to the retreat at which time full payment is due. The full amount of the deposit is refundable if you cancel at least 30 days in advance of the retreat. Reservations may be made on a first-come, first-served basis .
