ChristKids Family Fellowship: Campfire and Community

Join for an evening of fellowship, laughter, and a touch of campfire devotion at the Wesley Pavilion! Families with preschool through 5th-grade children (and their siblings) are invited to gather for a simple night of food, friendship, and faith under the fall sky. We’ll share a hot dog dinner and s’mores around the fire while enjoying unstructured time to play, explore, and connect. Bring your camping chair, picnic blanket, flashlight or headlamp, and reusable water bottle. Friday, November 8 🕓 4–6 PM (Dinner around 5) 📍 Wesley Pavilion, Camp Guilrock — Reidsville, NC 💵 $5 per person (age 3 and up) — includes dinner and s’mores Children 2 and under attend free. Scholarships are available to help make participation possible for every family. Families who wish to extend the fun are invited to stay overnight! Campsites may be set up between 3–4 PM prior to the evening gathering. Tent camping is by pre-registration only, with an additional $5 per person fee to help cover breakfast and facility costs. Restrooms are available in the Pavilion (no showers on this side of camp). Campers will enjoy an evening around the fire, simple breakfast provided by the church, and are welcome to join Grace UMC’s 9:30 AM worship service on Saturday morning. ChristKids Family Fellowship: Campfire and Community 📍 Wesley Pavilion, Camp Guilrock — Reidsville, NC 📅 Saturday, November 8 | 4–6 PM (campers arrive 3–4 PM) 👤 Main Contact: Krystal Pruitt Arrival & Parking • When entering Camp Guilrock, veer right at the gate and continue toward the gravel lot. Parking is available in the gravel or grassy area on the right side of the road. The group will gather outside around the fire pit on the left, with the Wesley Pavilion directly in front. General Flow: • 3:00–4:00 PM: Overnight campers may arrive and set up tents (pre-registered only). • 4:00–6:00 PM: Family fellowship and dinner. • 5:00 PM: Hot dog dinner served, followed by s’mores and devotion. • After Dinner: Casual conversation, play, and community time. Evening: Campers remain for overnight stay (no structured activities planned). Supervision & Safety: • Adults are responsible for supervising their own children throughout the event. • No additional childcare or structured activities will be provided. • Campers should stay in groups of three or more when walking between areas at night. • Flashlights or headlamps are encouraged for evening visibility. Meals & Supplies • Dinner (provided by church): Hot dogs, chips, s’mores, and drinks. • Breakfast (provided by church for campers): Muffins, oatmeal, bananas, hot cocoa, and coffee. • Paper goods, condiments, and cooking supplies will be brought by the ministry team.
